It's back, only different.
Once again, let us create a piece of music together. We started, but we did not finish.
I present a drum track. It's the same drum track I initially posted on Twitter2, only shorter, without the excessive reverb (I'll add it back when I mix whatever we come up with, and I'll make it even more unbearable than last time), and with a click track in the breaks (I don't really know why I used a drum tack with breaks in it, but I wasn't thinking too hard about it). Oh, and it's 107bpm.
This drum track is stolen from a track I put together years ago and never finished, but if this goes well then I'm hoping to create some bespoke Orb beats for our next attempt.
Since this will not be a traditional multitrack set-up (though we could also do something like that afterwards, just using Audacity or something else that's easy and free), I'm expecting to just create a kind of medley of stuff people want to include, and I want to use everything submitted in some manner.
To start with, it might be best to stick to melody submissions. I can edit them together, then we can try to fit bass, harmony, percussion, etc, around that framework.
It might be great, could be a disaster, but it'll definitely be Orb.
