isn't it kinda funny that the file format .wad is used for several entirely unrelated things? The most popular usage of it is for custom Doom levels, or Doom WADs as they're more commonly known as. But i've also seen that wiiware games are packed in a .wad file format. Weirdly enough the Danganronpa PC ports also use this file format for storing save data. I wonder what other secrets .wad holds.

I could be wrong here but I dont think .wad is actually like, a real file format.
Its more like .sav where its just, a file that has data in it, with some arbitrary file extension used for the devs to better know what it is. (In the case of Doom, WAD is an acronym for "Where's All the Data")
Doom WADs and Wiiware WADs will most likely be formatted completely differently from each other.

I, for one, store everything in my computer in .txt format.
