Strange 3DS custom themes

If you're awesome like me then you have a hacked Nintendo 3DS sitting around. Perhaps you've used an app called Anenome to install a fun custom theme on it! Well there's a website for browsing themes called https://themeplaza.art/ and looking at them all is a very strange experience.

Like you got ones that represent games that are on the 3DS fine enough and just are nice to look at.


But then you got ones where I look at it and say "why would anyone want to use this on their 3DS?


Some of them like the one above are just "oh wow check it out a funny image macro haha" but then you got like


Sure Elden Ring is a good game and all but I do not associate that game with the 3DS because there's not a single souls-like on said system.

they kinda remind me of those old winamp skins. back when i had winamp (not that long ago) i'd get all sorts of oddly specific skins even if i wasn't a fan of the thing they were based off of but because the fact that they were a thing in the first place was inexplicably amusing to me

having a theme based on a switch game is a very very jarring look to me

then again nintendo had this as an official downloadable theme



i never really liked the backrooms stuff that much, i feel like people overcomplicated it when rlly it was scary enough without any monsters in it. 3ds theme for it is kinda peculiar though. The song for it is "The Caretaker - It’s just a burning memory" which is that one song people use in image macros about dementia or whatever. i don't think that's associated with the backrooms like ever but i guess it fits the vibe of these images.

some of these themes have me wondering like

how necessary is this to upload? How much overlap is there between 3DS fans and fans of Angels the Series??? I guess if you're that person then here you go but to go ahead and upload the theme so another hacked 3DS owning Angels the Series fan can find it is just... idk it's odd

it isnt the 3ds, but ps3 also has custom themes, this dreamcast one is what i use
