in a previous post you may have seen I mentioned that I wanted to make a little RPGMaker game that takes place in a small town. Well I am now trying to develop it and I figured I'd make a thread about my progress. Please feel free to leave any comments about how some of the stuff can be improved and such.

hi im interested to see how it goes. old rpgmaker games feel like such a close part of me from when i was younger

i hope this is not taken super harshly but something i think is good to keep in mind with rpg maps, at least interiors is they dont necessarily have to be very big. like if it is a bedroom you may try to fit it in a 5x5 space or something. whats important is the density of details/objects mostly, so if a space is bigger than it needs to be it can kind of feel 'emptier'. plus if you are drawing everything yourself it can save a bit of work with doing tile sets

Yeeaahhhh I was thinking about making the room a lot smaller now that I look at it again. My plan was to have the right side of the room be pretty empty (big plot thing explaining why)

Trying to think of a good design for the protagonist. Wanna do the thing Deltarune did where the protagonist has no real defining features so everyone could relate to them but I don't really wanna make it look too much like the guy. If you got any suggestions on what I could do let me know.
